Esme's Villa at Al Mouj Muscat is a comprehensive project where Design Nomad extended their expertise beyond architectural completion to offer a fully conceived living experience. The project encompasses interior design, landscaping, custom pool design, and outdoor furniture design, catering to the luxurious lifestyle of the Al Mouj community in Muscat.
The villa, originally complete in its architecture, lacked the nuances of a finished home. The intervention involved curating a custom landscape design, integrating a variety of trees and vegetation, and conceptualizing a unique pool tailored to the spatial dynamics of the site. Each choice, from the tree selection to the positioning of outdoor furniture, was made to foster an atmosphere of exclusivity and retreat.
Interior spaces were treated with the same detail-oriented approach, ensuring that each room transitioned seamlessly into the outdoors, reflecting the villa's aesthetic language. The design language across the villa was consistent with the principles of elegant functionality, with a color palette and material selection that resonated with the client's taste and the villa's architectural character.
Pool & Landscaping
The 12m lap-pool design for Esme's Villa is a bespoke creation that mirrors the home's sophisticated aesthetic. It features clean, geometric lines that lend a contemporary edge to the space. The pool's linear form is accentuated by a sleek, dark tile finish, reflecting the sky and surrounding greenery, thus creating a tranquil oasis. Strategically placed lighting enhances the water's reflective quality, ensuring the pool remains a focal point day and night. The design also includes integrated steps and a shallow lounging platform, offering both aesthetic appeal and functional spaces for relaxation. The pool is framed by understated landscaping, which complements rather than competes with the water's serene presence.
